MEET SEAN

Sean is a proud resident of Westford. He lives in Nab with his wife, Breana, and three two sons. Sean was raised by two public educators who instilled in him a sense of duty to give back to to his community. Breana was born and raised in Westford and graduated from Westford Academy. She has since excelled to become a Nurse Practitioner at a local family practice. In their spare time, Sean and Breana love running through Westford and taking their sons to Westford’s wonderful parks.

Sean has been a Member of the School Committee since 2019. Currently, Sean is the School Committee Liaison to the Board of Directors for Westford Community Access Television (WestfordCAT), a member of the Healthy Westford Committee, School Committee Representative for the contract negotiations team, and liaison to the Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC).

By day, Sean is an established trial attorney at Marcotte Law Firm in Lowell. Sean’s practice focuses on personal injury litigation, bankruptcy, workers’ compensation, and criminal defense. 

Sean earned his law degree, cum laude, from Syracuse University, where he was a member of the Syracuse Law Review. He is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, State of New Hampshire, U.S. District Courts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He also holds a B.A. and a M.B.A. from the University of New Hampshire. He was born and raised in New England and proudly serves its communities. Since the start of his career he has excelled as a tenacious advocate and skilled litigator.  He has made it his life’s mission to fight for the underdog. 

In 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 Sean received a Rising Stars award from Super Lawyers. In 2021 he was selected as a Fellow to the Massachusetts Bar Association’s (MBA) Leadership Academy. Sean is a former Director of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the MBA and a current member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and Greater Lowell Bar Association. Sean can be heard as an expert guest on AM 980 WCAP’s McNamara on Money discussing Bankruptcy matters, has been a panelist on the YLD’s Nuts and Bolts of Workers’ Compensation lecture, the host of the MBA’s Fourth Annual Survive and Thrive panel, a judge for the MBA’s Mock Trial Competition, and routinely lectured on the Americans with Disabilities Act at Endicott College.
